A needle packet case in the form of a book. The shiny, blue paper covered board is gold tooled and has decoupage flowers fixed on the front and the back. The spine is maroon velvet but with a worn nap. Inside it is lined in turquoise coloured paper and has leather pockets containing needle packets.
There are five Kirby's London Ne Plus Ultra packets of needles inside of different sizes and a steel bodkin.
It should close by slipping a rod through the three leather loops but whatever was originally used is lost.
