A decorative paper covered box containing fine old steel knitting needles. The patterned paper is in red, silver and green and is in an abstract design. It is trimmed with gold paper including a decoupage gold paper rose.
Inside there are four rounded sections containing eight blue steel knitting needles with gold spiraling, six blued steel knitting needles and one with no bluing. I suspect they would all have looked the same originally and the pattern has worn off through use.
