A damaged dome topped, French silver thimble of the type found in the 'tombstone' shaped etui cases and silver fitted Palais Royal sewing sets. There is a partial silver mark in the lines of pattern but it is impossible to read. c1800-1820.
The thimble has some dents and two small holes in the top but is priced accordingly.
A useful thimble to finish a set.
