An unusual pair of wig spectacles made around 1800. The arms are short at 12cm so as not to get entangled in a gentleman's wig. The oval lenses are tinted green which was believed to improve vision at the time. The hinges look to be tarnished silver.
11 x 5cm folded
each eye piece measures 3 x 2cm
arms 12cm long
In excellent condition-the roughness felt on the back of the arms was deliberate to make for a better grip.
