A small metal button decorated with twin hearts and a crown above. These were commemorative buttons produced to celebrate the marriage of King Charles II and Catherine of Braganza in 1662. Sometimes worn as a pair of cufflinks but this is a single example.

It is small just 1.5cm in diameter and in reasonable condition bearing in mind it was buried! It was probably found by a metal detectorist.
