A small pair of pince-nez spectacles with wire frames of steel. There is a loop for attaching to a ribbon. There is a roughened area on the inside of the lens frame presumably to grip the nose more effectively.
Each round, magnifying lens measures 3cm in diameter and both fold together neatly for putting in a pocket or a young lady's reticule.
