A shoe / boot shaped snuff box made from mahogany with decorative brass pin head inlay and set with inlaid mutton bone panels. The whole surface is decorated -even the sole of the shoe where there is a heart shape- a reminder that these were given as love tokens.
It's not dated or inscribed but is highly decorated. c1870.
In excellent condition- no damage other than a hairline crack in one of the bone roundels.
