A nice display piece -an old wood and glass pepper mill from a French kitchen.
There's no damage but it is old and the mechanism is stiff.
The brass screw on the base is stamped SGDG which is a French patent. There is also Peugeot Freres and BTLs. Late 19th century / early 20th century.
