A wooden container shaped like a ball with a carrying cord and with a transfer print of the 'New Municipal Buildings Glasgow'. Mauchline Ware. Erected 1890.
The lid pulls off and inside there is room for a ball of wool / string etc. with a hole in the top so the end can be pulled through so keeping the rest clean and tangle free.

In good condition- one small circular blemish at the base of the print - 3mm across (see last photo).
