
A pair of Georgian silver spectacles. The arms are in two sections and pivot so the last bit can be angled to fit over the ear. c1820.
The round eye pieces are fitted with magnifying lenses. The bridge section is joined to the eye pieces and there is a small split at this point in one frame but not right through the silver (see last photo). There are hall marks -London 1820.
Each arm extends to 15cm
The lenses are 3cm in diameter.
They are a good gauge of silver-not flimsy.
