A rare silver filigree knotting shuttle stamped SP on the central block who was a late 18th / early 19th century Birmingham silversmith called Samuel Pemberton.
The filigree work is exquisite but does have one tiny break in the silver rib on both sides of the shuttle as shown in the photographs. However the more delicate filigree work is complete.
