A very fine Tartan Ware box in the Prince Charlie pattern. The lid has three playing cards as decoration with square corners and no indices but with a double ended court card which helps to date it. 1860-1870.
Inside are four counters each decorated in the same tartan pattern ( untitled ) and a playing card on the front. They are black lacquered on the back.
In excellent condition- no damage and with the original varnished finish.
Pocket sized at 3.5 cm in diameter.
