A cobalt blue glass scent bottle with engraved silver gilt lids. c1850
The glass is facet cut and shaped so that it is wider in the middle. One end cap unscrews and the other hinges. The hinged one has a piece of sprung glass in the lid which is the stopper whilst the screw lid has a piece of cork and this section was for smelling salts.
It is in excellent condition- no damage and with only one facet with any scratching ( see last photo )
The roundels on the ends meant for initials have no engraving.
