Two 19th century oriental items -both boxes.
The first is a red lacquer pot with gold painted decoration of grasses on the lid helpfully described as Japanese on the label on the base. The label is for JE Beale Ltd Bournemouth.
3.5cm in height and 4cm in diameter.
The other is Chinese a round box with a wooden lid but the side is woven and cut bark set around a wooden base and imitates a basket.
3.5cm in height and 4cm in diameter at its widest.
Both are in good condition -no cracks only minor age related blemishes as seen in the photos.
