A Georgian oddity often found in sewing sets-a silver ear spoon with tweezers on the other end-ear wax was used to smooth out the thread in lieu of beeswax! c1835
A decorative piece embossed with flowers.
6.5cm long.
NB. Early silver sewing tools weren't hallmarked but were occasionally stamped with the initials of the silversmith-usually SP for Samuel Pemberton, JW for Joseph Willmore and ML for Matthew Linwood.
