An octagonal silver toothpick box with an inset mother of pearl lid, pearl base and shell sides.
The lid has an outer border of drilled circles plus two inner borders-one with small quatrefoil leaves and the other rope twist. Right in the centre is the initial W with flowers either side. The shell sides are a dense black other than one spot (see photo). English. c1800.
There are no silver marks on the frame that I can find.
