Two inscribed lace bobbins with men's names and the date 1868. The first reads William Pettit and the other George Fecps presumably the bobbin maker's attempt to spell Phipps!
I've put them as one lot as they are by the same maker going by the style of the letter E, the way the date is formed and similar spangles.
In good condition -one has lost the red colour on the sealing wax bands.
