A small pin or emery cushion mounted in a wooden Tunbridge ware holder in the shape of a kettle. It is a transitional piece the 'handle' being painted wood rather than turned rosewood as is more usual. This feature dates it to c1840.
In excellent condition- no damage.
There's no nap on the velvet pad but it is the original.
The body of the kettle measures 3.5cm across excluding the spout.
