A photograph album decorated in the Stuart clan tartan. Inside are photographs of Victorian ladies and gentlemen.
There are also four of children- three of boys one in a naval costume? and three in military plus another coloured one of a young girl with a hand written notation saying it was of the 'Lady Mary Campbell the second youngest daughter of the Duke of Argyle'.
*The photo showing the two small boys in uniform is interesting as the boy on the left is 'General Tom Thumb'.
ie. Charles Stratton, (born January 4, 1838, Bridgeport, Connecticut, U.S.—died July 15, 1883) who was famous for his small stature 3ft 4 inches.
Condition-
The Tartan Ware is in good condition with just minor surface blemishes and a small loss on the inner edge at the back (see last photo). The gilt metal catch works well and the leather 'hinge' is sound. Inside one page has a tear and another some creases.
