A little domed box covered in fine straw work. The lid is decorated with strips of straw set at an angle to create shaded areas to pleasing effect. The centre of the lid has a petalled flower and the corners fans. The lid is loose now but judging by the thumb piece would have has a cloth hinge originally.
The interior is also decorated with strips of straw and the base covered by blue paper.
