A white metal combination pen, pencil, tooth pick and letter scale. It is stamped on the barrel 'John Sheldon 1086 Feb 8 1842'. The blank metal seal at the end unscrews to reveal space for leads.
The propelling pin in the pencil is working and there is the mount for a nib but no nib. The toothpick extends but on close examination looks to have been repinned into the slider.
The end section unscrews to reveal the letter scale which is in working order and numbered SW 1,2 and 4 on one side with the opposite weights being 1/2 oz, 1 oz , 1 1/2 oz and 2 oz.
