A nice, clean example of an early painted bone pin cushion. It is in the form of a tub fitted with a pumpkin form fawn velvet cushion. It is quite heavy so the cushion may be filled with sawdust or emery. The side is carved and painted with flowers and the phrase 'A Present from Cheltenham'.
In excellent condition- no damage to the bone, velvet or paint. Just one rust mark from an old pin.
