An emery cushion housed in a silver filigree basket dating to the first part of the 19th century- circa 1800. The cushion is blue velvet and sits in a very slightly oval basket complete with a folding filigree handle. It has a suspension ring so could be added to a chatelaine.
There are no hall marks which is quite normal for light weight pieces of silver of this date and especially filigree.

In excellent condition- no damage to the filigree and only some wear to the pile to the velvet pad.
