A decorative Continental chatelaine with two painted porcelain plaques of a seated lady in a landscape. The central chain is made up of three medallions -two with a bird on a lake and the other gardening tools. The other chains have the heads of flowers. It is base metal looking gilt on the front with the background silvery. c1870.
Sadly the larger of the porcelain plaques has been damaged and has had obvious DIY restoration so would need a professional to look at it but the smaller one is perfect.
