A Lithyalin glass scent bottle made to imitate striated red agate. The hinged lid is engraved silver with a gold wash finish. There are no silver marks but it tests as silver and dates to circa 1860.

There are some fleabites on the edges - the most obvious being on the corner of the base (see last photo). Otherwise, it is in excellent condition but minus its stopper.

2.5 x 1.25 x 0.75 inches
(6.5 x 3 x 2 cm)

 *Lithyalin Glass.

A marbled glass resembling polished gemstones in a wide range of colours first made by the Bohemian glass artist Friedrich Egermann in 1829 and was copied by other Bohemian and French manufacturers.
