These are four crochet hooks of differing sizes which screw into the same handle for use. They are French and would have been in a side pocket in an etui-typically the ones shaped like a little leather handbag. c1860.
There are areas where the gilt finish has worn off but there's no damage (see photos)
The little hooks are 5.5cm in length
The handle slightly longer at 5.7cm
