A mother of pearl topped tape measure and matching emery from a Victorian sewing box c 1850. The pale blue silk ribbon in the tape is a replacement and has been left unmarked. The emery is all original.
The barrels are made of domestic animal bone- the black flecking in the material being indicative of bone.
