An early 'Painted Tunbridge Ware' wooden thimble made of boxwood painted with red and black stripes. c1800. It comes with its original egg shaped box.
The thimble is in good condition with only one fine, closed hairline crack and one or two nicks out of the ring turning but nothing too obvious. The case has a similar hairline crack and the colours have faded but it has served to protect the thimble.
The thimble measures 2.5cm in height
