An inlaid Tunbridge Ware rule with an end holder for the rubber. It would have been used to draw a straight line and then rolled down the paper for the next one.
NB. The turned end should unscrew and contain a pencil but is now stuck and the polished finish shows wear from previous failed attempts to unscrew it.

Just under 1.5cm in width. (1/2 inch)
In good condition- the inlay is complete. The solidified remains of the old rubber are still in the ebony holder.
