An unusual brass hemming clamp with pin cushion. The figure is dressed in a uniform and as these clamps are usually German, a German one. The 'gun' he's holding is the mount for the hemming attachment which moves to clamp the fabric. Behind the figure is a pin / emery cushion. c1880-1900
