A tan leather notebook mounted with black lacquer inlaid with gold and with a French pencil marked T&M Paris. c1860
The black lacquer imitates tortoiseshell and frames the front cover. In the center there's an oval cartouche engraved with the original owner's initials- EC. The back cover has the lacquer but no inlay.
Inside it is lined with a plum coloured watered silk and has one pocket for visiting cards. The booklet of gold edged paper is also covered in the same silk and is unused.
In excellent clean condition- some age related fading to the edges of the silk but no damage.
