
A pair of silver shoe buckles with pierced and cut frames. The maker's initials (GS) are stamped on the sides along with the lion assay mark but no date letter. The most likely maker is George Smith who made small silver items around 1790 which were assayed in London.
The silver frame and the steel chape / prongs are in very good condition- no damage or repair.
