A wooden thread winder hand painted with flowers- a different one on each side. The first is a pansy which was a very popular image as pensee in French translates as 'think of me'. The other side with blue forget-me-nots emphasizing the sentiment!
It is in excellent condition -a few scratches in the thick original varnished finish but no damage.
