A decorative steel thimble case in the form of a bucket with a split ring attachment for hanging from a chatelaine. c 1840
The two panels of chiselled decoration are of stylised leaves and the handle is decorated with dots. Inside it is lined with maroon velvet.
In excellent condition- still bright and the only sign of pitting is on the base.
4 cm high with the handle raised.
