A mini oval table made of carved Whitby jet and inlaid on the top in mother of pearl with the outline of the cliff top abbey. Late 19th century. c1870-1890
4.5cm high
6 x 4.5cm in diameter
In very good condition but with slight loss to the mother of pearl inlay (see last photo). There are also traces of glue where the feet are attached to the base but there isn't any damage.
NB. The white flecks shown in some of the photos are just dust-jet attracts dust and it is a good way to check whether it is actually jet or a glass imitation!
