A rare, mini folding knife made of a dark wood or possibly horn? and inlaid decoratively with pewter. The end has a decorative turned finial. The steel blade is unmarked. c1770.

The two rivets holding the blade in place are mounted with brass covers- typical of 18th century etui tools. There isn't a spring but the blade does stop when it lines up with the handle.

6.5cm long closed
11cm long open.

In excellent condition- the blade isn't damaged and the inlay is intact.
