An unusual find-very early thread holders- the top sections of bone and the bases of turned wood. The narrow spaces between the two are wound with coloured threads. Circa 1780-1800
They comprise two sets. They are all the same diameter but the handles are slightly higher on the three of the group.
In excellent condition- no damage.
Just over 2cm in diameter at 22mm.
Height of three 3cm.
Height of the other three 2.75cm.
NB. The material is domestic animal bone and not ivory. I've left them uncleaned the better to show the black flecking indicative of bone (see last photo)
