A silver needle case from a fitted Palais Royal sewing box c1819-1838. The case and carry the petit guarantee of silver- a hare's head rather than the later boar's head mark.
It is light weight but there's no damage other than a very slightly dented inner sleeve which doesn't affect how it closes.
