Two pairs of decorative gold handled scissors stamped 9.375 (for 9 carat gold) in a leather case. The case is lined in sage green velvet which has faded to a brown except under the scissors. The edge of the case is tooled in gold.
As well as being stamped 9.375, the scissors are also fully hall marked on the handles for Birmingham 1898 maker M & A (search shows them as listed but not named)
In excellent condition.
The button hole scissors appear to be unused and still retain the gilding on the steel blades. The embroidery scissors have lost the gilding but the steel is in good order. No damage but they do need sharpening.
Scissors measure 8.5 and 9.5cm in length
