A moulded black thermoplastic case containing a daguerreotype photograph of a young man.
The case is decorated with leaves, swags and trelliswork. The middle of the cover is pierced through and backed by dark green velvet. Inside the photograph is of a young man in a relaxed pose beside a tasseled curtain. I think it is a daguerreotype from reading up on old photographs but I could be wrong!
Both the case and photo are in excellent condition.
