An engraved silver bodkin case made at the beginning of the 19th century circa 1815. The silver is decorated with bright cut engraving and has the original owner's initials -BC in a lozenge shaped cartouche.
The piece is bottom stamped SP which are the initials of the maker Samuel Pemberton who was a Birmingham silversmith.

In excellent condition- no splits but it does have a slight finger pressure indent caused when opening it.
