A Scottish snuff mull made of horn with silver plated mounts. The horn is well shaped and a dense colour with just an area of paler horn by the shield on the lid. The lid has a cork backing which closes it with a snug fit.
There's no damage but the cork had lost its leading edge so has been patched using a new piece.
