A red leatherette box containing five of a set of six unmarked (tested .925) silver writing tools comprising an inkwell with a silver top over a bakelite? base, a stamp case, an uncut letter seal, a push button pencil lead holder and a dip pen.
There is piece missing- probably a leads case or a folding knife but a few English matching nibs now fill the space.
The pattern on the silver is strikingly different and very modern looking -lots of horizontal lines resembling layers of wires. There's no clue as to the maker but a stamp case in the same finish was sold on eBay which carried an Austrian import mark which ended in 1921.
In very good condition- no damage to the tools. The case has a stain on the lid which can be seen in the photo.
NB. Most of the inkwell's base is black but at the top it is brown for 2mm (it looks like a deliberate colour change). The pattern on the pencil holder is slightly different to the rest as it has little triangular facets
The case measures 19 x 7cm
