A small wooden acorn shaped tape measure with a label marked 'A Brighton Gift'-an early souvenir from this seaside town. c1800-1820
It is in the typical style of Early Tunbridge Ware decorated with coloured bands and with small labels from the town in which they were bought or with inscriptions such as 'a Token of Love'.
The wooden holder is in excellent condition and the green silk tape has only lost the first inch.
