A silver mechanical pencil with a perpetual calendar. The nozzle unscrew showing that the propelling pin for the lead is working. The calendar works by moving the days of the week to tally with a date. c 1840
In good condition- only minor signs of use on the barrel but with damage to the retaining ring on the end of the pencil. ( see last photo )
