A rare pair of European 18th century close plated steel scissors decorated with geometric patterns housed in a green shagreen case with silver mounts.

There are faults- the scissors have lost the tip of one blade and there is wear around the rivet on one side. The sheath has lost two small areas of shagreen (see photos)

The scissors measure 11cm in length
The sheath 9cm.

NB. There are some markings on the inside of the blades but I have been unable to make them out clearly possibly Cizo Fein?
