An attractive mother of pearl notebook with pink silk lining and covered booklet. It is French but the inscription inside says its owner was a Mrs. Hammond so probably brought back to Britain after a trip to France.

There are some printed sections in it as well as plain paper. A title page showing some figures in a garden in Arab dress and is titled 'Souvenir' at the top and 'a Paris chez editeur' at the bottom. There is also a printed card with days of the week on it and a glued sheet showing the various Saint's days which is dated 1851.

It is in good condition with minor wear and traces of old sellotape as shown in the final photo. It contains a lead pencil.
