Two small spools for thread from a Painted Tunbridge Ware sewing box. They would have fitted onto a steel rod at the front of the workbox so that the cotton could be drawn off easily.
They are simply turned in boxwood but with a few black painted lines for decoration.
One is 3cm long and the other 2cm.
Width a mere 1cm.
In excellent condition.
