A domed top silver thimble from a fitted Palais Royal sewing box. c1819 -1838.
The silver mark of a hare's head is in the bottom line of pattern above the rim. Hard to see unless you have a strong lens! This means the latest date for it is 1838.

It is in excellent condition despite being very light weight as is typical of French silver sewing tools of the period. The photograph of the inside shows the impressions of the dimpling but there are no holes.

2.5cm high
Base diameter 1.5cm.

In very good condition.
