A standing tape measure, emery and thread waxer in the clan McPherson tartan. c1860

The tape is measured in centimeters and has its small wooden end stop. The ebonized base is trimmed on the edge with a gold on black zigzag pattern.
The purple velvet cushion on top has lost its nap but otherwise the tape / emery / waxer sections are in excellent condition.
